    Scale Auto Enthusiast magazine was published bi-monthly starting in May, 1979.
    Gary Schmidt consistently produced the title until 1996 when he sold it to Kalmbach Publishing.
    Kalmbach continued to publish through to October 2020,
    and the only notable change was the retitling to Scale Auto in 2002.
